The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued a circular on April 12th, directing Rajesh Kumar Singh, a 1989 batch Kerala cadre IAS officer currently serving as a secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), to assume additional responsibility as secretary in the Ministry of Textiles. This directive comes as Officer Singh is mandated to fill in for IAS Rachna Shah, belonging to the 1991 batch, who is currently absent.
Rajesh Kumar Singh will undertake the duties of secretary in the Ministry of Textiles from April 13th to April 21st, as per the circular issued by DoPT. This temporary arrangement aims to ensure continuity in the administrative functions of the Ministry during the absence of Officer Rachna Shah.
Officer Singh, with his extensive experience and expertise, is expected to seamlessly manage the responsibilities of both departments during this interim period. His appointment underscores the government's commitment to maintaining efficiency and effectiveness in governance across various ministries and departments.
