Wazir Advisors has released the FY24 update of the Indian Textile & Apparel Sector Performance Report, building on insights from previous editions. The report highlights the following key trends:
Wazir Textile Index (WTI):
- Sales Index increased by 2% in FY24 compared to FY23.
- EBITDA Index declined by 10% in FY24 compared to FY23.
- Consolidated sales of selected top textile companies increased by 2% in FY24 compared to FY23.
- Consolidated EBITDA margin as a percentage of sales declined by 1 percentage point in FY24 compared to FY23.
Wazir Apparel Index (WAI):
- Sales Index increased by 0.3% in FY24 compared to FY23.
- EBITDA Index increased by 1% in FY24 compared to FY23.
- Consolidated sales of selected top apparel companies increased by 0.3% in FY24 compared to FY23.
- Consolidated EBITDA margin as a percentage of sales remained unchanged in FY24 compared to FY23.
Overall Performance:
- Consolidated sales for all listed textile and apparel companies declined by 3% in FY24 compared to FY23.
- Consolidated EBITDA for all listed textile and apparel companies declined by 2 percentage points in FY24 compared to FY23.
