In the upcoming textile cluster in Nimbola village in Burhanpur around 116 industries are expected to be handed over plots in May, out of the total 127 available plots.
The Special Purpose Vehicle developing the cluster, Fair Deal Exporters Cooperative Society Ltd president Pradeep Kedia said, “We are handing over plots to 116 industries on May 15. The development work in the cluster has started and plots will be handed over next month.”
Textile related industries including dying, bleaching, looms and others will be housed at the upcoming cluster.
The cluster will have a training centre, laboratory, healthcare centre and commercial spaces among other as per the proposed plan of the cluster.
The cost of infrastructure development in the upcoming cluster is Rs 20 crore of which the SPV has collected Rs 2.5 crore from industries and the state micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) department will contribute Rs 2.5 crore for the first phase of development.
According to the SPV, the construction of road, drainage, overhead tank and grid station is expected to be completed in a year.
The cluster will be developed in 4 phases where the state government will contribute 10 per cent of the total infrastructure spending or Rs 10 crore whichever is less and the rest of the expenses will be taken care of by the industries.
