TRADE FAIR TEXTILES APPAREL NATIONAL

The 14th edition of the India Tex Trends Fair was inaugurated with great fanfare in Tokyo on 23rd July by His Excellency Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan. The event, a significant milestone in the textile and apparel industry, saw the presence of numerous esteemed guests and industry leaders.
Ishii Taku, Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Government of Japan, joined the inauguration, underscoring the importance of the event in fostering economic and trade relations between India and Japan. Yoshitaka Sasakawa, Advisor, Japan India Industry Promotion Association (JIIPA), also graced the occasion, reflecting the collaborative spirit and mutual interest in promoting industry growth.
From the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman, AEPC, led the Indian delegation. He was accompanied by Premal Udani, Chairman of the Export Promotion Committee, Virender Uppal, Executive Committee member, and Mithileshwar Thakur, Secretary General of AEPC. Their participation highlighted the council’s commitment to advancing India’s textile industry on a global platform.
Senior functionaries from AEPC and other key stakeholders in the apparel sector attended the inauguration, demonstrating strong support and enthusiasm for the event. Dignitaries and representatives from prominent apparel brands, retail chains, and exhibitors from both India and Japan were present, marking the fair as a premier event for networking and exploring new business opportunities.
