In a move to advance the textile sector, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde officially launched the new 'E-Textile' system at the Sahyadri Guest House.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Textiles Minister Chandrakant Patil, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Secretary of the Textiles Department Virendra Singh, and various other officials.
During the event, Chief Minister Shinde emphasized the importance of the recently introduced integrated and sustainable textile industry policy for the state. He highlighted the need to promote small-scale textile industries and instructed that the policy should focus on generating maximum employment opportunities across the sector.
The 'E-Textile' system, designed for comprehensive process automation, aims to streamline various schemes under the textiles department. Secretary of the Textiles Department, Virendra Singh, provided a detailed presentation on the system, explaining that it was developed in collaboration with ICICI Bank. The platform consolidates information on all textile department schemes in one accessible location, making business processes more efficient and user-friendly.
Also present at the event were Shrikrishna Pawar, Deputy Secretary of the Textiles Department, officials from ICICI Bank, and other concerned stakeholders.
