Cosmoprof India 2024, held from December 5 to 7 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, marked a significant milestone in the beauty and personal care industry. Organized by BolognaFiere Group and Informa Markets in India, this year’s edition showcased impressive growth, with the exhibition area expanding to 20,252 square meters across four halls that featured top brands and suppliers.
Cosmoprof India (representing 46% of the show) occupied two halls dedicated to branded finished products (Jasmine Halls 1 & 2, Level 3), while Cosmopack India (representing 54% of the show) spanned two halls dedicated to supply chain exhibitors (Pavilion Halls 1 & 2, Ground Level).
Over 9,000 attendees explored the latest trends and innovations presented by more than 700 exhibitors and brands during the three-day event. With 57% of exhibitors coming from outside India and 22 countries represented—a 10.5% increase from last year—the event highlighted its growing international appeal. Country pavilions grew by 80%, featuring participants from Australia, Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan Region, and the United Kingdom. Notably, 76% of exhibitors were new, reflecting the global beauty community’s growing interest in Cosmoprof India.
“The outstanding growth of Cosmoprof India reflects the development of the Indian beauty market, which according to Euromonitor International is the second-best performing market in Asia, and will reach total revenue of more than $30 billion in 2025. At the same time, it is the result of the hard work and commitment of our teams, reinforced by the prestige and international appeal of the Cosmoprof network all around the world,” emphasized Enrico Zannini, General Manager of BolognaFiere Cosmoprof.
Speaking at the inaugural of Cosmoprof India 2024, Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, stated, “Cosmoprof India serves as a pivotal platform driving the evolution of India’s cosmetics and beauty industry, aligning with the country’s impressive growth trajectory. The market, encompassing skincare, haircare, oral care, fragrances, and color cosmetics, is projected to reach USD 46.6 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 5.6% from 2024-2032. Rising disposable incomes, a shift toward personal wellness, and increasing demand for sustainable, natural, and personalized products are redefining consumer preferences. Cosmoprof India bridges global brands, entrepreneurs, and consumers, empowering them to leverage opportunities in e-commerce, digital advancements, and product personalization.”
Cosmoprof India’s Buyer Program facilitated connections among international peers and generated new leads, hosting approximately 200 buyers from countries including India, Cyprus, Nepal, Maldives, UAE, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. The exclusive software ‘Cosmoprof India My Match’ ensured the best connections between exhibiting companies and potential buyers.
The 2024 edition introduced new initiatives like COSMOTALKS, featuring 16 round tables, and CosmoForum, which partnered with leading organizations such as Asia Cosme Lab, BEAUTYSTREAMS, Centdegrés, Ecovia Intelligence, Euromonitor International, Fashion Snoops, Statista, and WGSN.
The COSMOPROF INDIA and COSMOPACK INDIA AWARDS, curated by BEAUTYSTREAMS, celebrated outstanding innovation across five categories, culminating in an award ceremony during the Networking Night. The evening also featured the ‘Runway by Cosmoprof India’—a dazzling fashion and beauty show by renowned designers Paras and Shalini of Geisha Designs.
For professionals in the beauty salon segment, the World Massage Meeting returned, bridging Ayurveda and Western practices with participation from trainers from Italy, Australia, and India.
Sustainability remained a key focus, with the launch of COSMOPROF INDIA CARES, fostering collective efforts to create a sustainable future.
As a reference hub for the beauty industry, Cosmoprof India underscores India’s position as the world’s 4th largest beauty market and a strategic location for international stakeholders. With neighboring countries like Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh increasingly involved, the event solidified its standing as a platform for exploring the region’s vast potential.
