The Central Government has designated the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) as the master developer for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar district.
Spanning approximately 1,563 acres in Bhainsola village, this project marks a significant step in the government’s ambitious plan to establish seven mega textile parks across the country.
As the appointed master developer, MPIDC will oversee the creation of the park’s master plan, establish design specifications, and manage its operations and maintenance. This appointment follows a formal request from the Madhya Pradesh government to the Centre, enabling MPIDC to initiate development activities through competitive tenders for various textile and garment-related projects within the park.
Rajesh Rathod, Executive Director of MPIDC, highlighted the transformative potential of the project, stating, "We are committed to making the PM MITRA Park a state-of-the-art industrial hub that will not only enhance the textile industry in Madhya Pradesh but also create numerous job opportunities for the local population.”
He further added, “This project is a testament to our ongoing efforts to foster industrial growth and innovation in the state.”
The park’s comprehensive development plan includes shared facilities such as laboratories, upskilling centers, training units, logistics hubs, accommodation, and display areas. While MPIDC is focused on internal infrastructure, external development—such as road construction, water supply systems, and electrification—is already underway.
A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) has been established to ensure effective management and implementation of the project, involving a collaborative partnership between the state and central governments. The ownership structure of the SPV allocates a 51% majority stake to the state government and the remaining 49% to the Centre, providing coordinated governance for this landmark textile infrastructure initiative.
