The All India Handloom Textile Exhibition is set to commence at Shilparamam near Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam on January 2 at 11 a.m., announced Shilparamam Chief Executive Officer, V. Swamy Naidu. Organized by the Andhra Pradesh Shilparamam Society, the exhibition aims to provide a platform for handloom textile artisans to sell their products directly to customers, eliminating the role of mediators while promoting the rich culture of the state.
Over 100 artisans from various states across India will showcase their creations at Shilparamam during the 15-day exhibition, running from January 2 to January 16. This event is being held in collaboration with the Development Commissioner (Handloom), Government of India, New Delhi.
The inaugural ceremony is expected to be graced by distinguished guests, including District In-charge Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, Tourism, Culture, and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh, Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, and YSRCP MLC Botcha Satyanarayana, according to Swamy Naidu.
This exhibition promises to be a vibrant celebration of India’s handloom heritage, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore and purchase exquisite handcrafted textiles directly from the artisans themselves.
