Global SS Beauty Brands (GSSBB), a subsidiary of Shoppers Stop, has announced the launch of Messi Fragrances in India. Inspired by football legend Lionel Messi, the fragrance embodies his qualities of strength, confidence, and timeless elegance.
Biju Kassim, CEO of Beauty at Shoppers Stop, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, emphasizing that the fragrance is more than just a scent—it's a statement reflecting Messi's essence. He extended gratitude to partners at Game On Product Group, including Elliot Rubenstein, Daryl Czarny, and Damien Gance, for entrusting GSSBB with the distribution rights in India. Kassim also acknowledged Theo from DSM-Firmenich for insights into the fragrance's creation and perfumer Frank Voelkl for crafting the sophisticated blend of cardamom, leather, and cedarwood.
The Messi Eau de Parfum, previously launched in the U.S. and Puerto Rico through J.C. Penney, features top notes of cardamom and wild cypress, with warm undertones of leather and cedarwood, finished with a touch of vanilla. The fragrance is housed in a navy-blue glass bottle molded in Messi’s logo and packaged sustainably. A gift set, including an 8.5-oz. body wash and a Messi logo toiletry bag, is also available.
