In order to revive ancient arts through contemporary fashion, Wear8, one of India’s fastest-growing homegrown fashion brands has introduced its Spring-Summer 2025 collection named KanthaVerse.
This collection offers oversized t-shirts inspired from the historical beauty of Kantha embroidery from West Bengal. As global fashion is leaning towards heritage-driven narratives, young buyers are preferring brands with cultural and ethical storytelling. Wear8’s KanthaVerse taps into this sentiment by reviving an ancient art form with sustainable practices and urban sensibility. Each t-shirt in the KanthaVerse line is inspired from the Kantha art silhouettes. They are made from sustainable cotton blends and produced using low-waste digital printing technology. The pieces embody Wear8’s commitment to slow fashion and artisanal storytelling. “We see Kantha not as a trend, but a timeless narrative that deserves a place in modern wardrobes,” said Afroj, Founder & Design Head, Wear8.
“Every t-shirt of KanthaVerse is a stand for cultural sustainability,” she further added. “Our mission is to bring ancient Indian arts to the streets where identity, individuality, and creativity can co-exist together,” said Kiran Sharma, Co-founder, Wear8.
