Chief Minister Mohan Yadav convened a high-profile roundtable with international sourcing heads from major apparel brands and signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Brand & Sourcing Leaders' Association (BSL). The agreement aims to amplify textile investments and accelerate the growth of the sector in Madhya Pradesh.
The event highlighted the successful implementation of Prime Minister Modi’s visionary “Five F” strategy—Farm to Fibre, Fibre to Factory, Factory to Fashion, Fashion to Foreign—as the state positions itself to emerge as a global textile hub. A major focus of the discussions was the upcoming PM Mitra Park in Dhar district, a sprawling 2,177-acre industrial zone designed to take the textiles sector to unprecedented heights. The state has already attracted investments exceeding ₹3,513 crore in textiles, with letters of intent valued at over ₹16,000 crore even before the park’s official groundbreaking.
Madhya Pradesh presents a compelling investment proposition owing to its robust organic cotton production, modern garment manufacturing capabilities, green energy availability, efficient administrative processes, and stable policy framework. The state’s flagship initiative, “Made in MP – Wear Across the World,” underscores its ambition for global competitiveness.
CM Yadav emphasized the sector’s social impact: “The textile and garment sector is empowering farmers, women, youth, and the underprivileged,” highlighting the industry’s role in inclusive and sustainable development.
