The LYCRA Company, a global leader in developing sustainable and innovative fiber and technology solutions for the apparel industry, today announced it is previewing two exciting new products for denim at Kingpins Amsterdam, October 15 – 16.
Kingpins visitors can see and feel samples made with LYCRA VintageFX fiber and bio-derived LYCRA EcoMade fiber in the company’s stand, Yellow 9, along with other popular products like LYCRA ADAPTIV fiber.
LYCRA VintageFX fiber
Launching commercially in 2026, the new LYCRA VintageFX fiber enables low-stretch denim and woven garments to move freely and easily, blending lasting comfort and fit with a vintage aesthetic. Engineered using a patent-pending yarn application, this dual-core technology—combining LYCRA fiber with LYCRA VintageFX fiber, surrounded by cotton—delivers a range of performance advantages, including:
- Delivering controlled stretch and soft compression for everyday comfort
- Enabling vintage-inspired constructions with a compact, flat surface
- Reducing seam slippage to improve garment quality
- Offering better drape, less weight, and reduced bag and sag
Bio-derived LYCRA EcoMade fiber
The LYCRA Company is also showcasing samples featuring bio-derived LYCRA EcoMade fiber, which is composed of 70 percent annually renewable plant-based resources, offering raw material origin transparency and reduced environmental impact. Launching at commercial scale later this year, this drop-in solution is a one-to-one replacement for original LYCRA fiber, delivering the same performance and requiring no re-engineering of fabrics, processes, or garment patterns.
“At The LYCRA Company, we’re constantly pushing the boundaries of fiber innovation to help our customers deliver what’s next in denim,” said Ebru Ozaydin, global product director - denim, wovens and ready-to-wear, at The LYCRA Company. “Previewing LYCRA VintageFX and bio-derived LYCRA EcoMade fibers at Kingpins underscores our commitment to shaping the future of fashion through advanced performance and differentiated products.”
B-logic: The Logical Future of Denim
The LYCRA Company has teamed up with its Pakistan-based distributor, iTextiles, the makers of CIRCULOSE—a pioneering material made from recycled cotton—and Neela, a vertical denim company, to unveil B-logic, featuring nine unique outfits designed by denim icon Gordon Muir of Labor Made Inc. This collaboration offers more than products; it presents a vision of fashion as a cycle of renewal, beauty, and purpose, challenging the notion of apparel as disposable and reframing it as enduring, valuable, and conscious. The collaborators will discuss B-Logic on October 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jeanius Hub. The collection is on display on the mezzanine level of the Sugar Factory.
