RPSG Ventures, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, has acquired a 40% stake in Falguni Shane Peacock (FSP), marking a significant strategic investment to amplify India’s presence in the global luxury fashion arena. The announcement was shared by Shashwat Goenka, Vice Chairman, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, on LinkedIn.
The investment comes at a pivotal moment for the luxury sector in India. According to IMARC, McKinsey, and various media reports, the country’s luxury fashion market currently stands at $9.4 billion and is projected to reach $15 billion by 2033, while the overall Indian luxury market is expected to grow 3.5 times by 2030, reaching $85 billion. Globally, luxury consumers increasingly seek creativity and craftsmanship, trends that FSP has consistently embodied.
Falguni Shane Peacock, renowned for blending cultural depth with global appeal, represents a unique convergence of these trends. The brand’s trajectory reflects not only strong business performance but also the ability to carry India’s creative voice to international audiences.
“FSP stands at an inflection point, and we are committed to empowering the brand to scale with intent while shaping the future of Indian couture on the world stage,” said Shashwat Goenka. “At RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, we believe the next phase of business leadership will come from leveraging India’s cultural strength as strategically as its industrial and technological prowess. Our endeavour is to combine FSP’s creative capital with strategic business capital to deliver an elevated experience that is unmatched and deeply resonant with today’s consumer.”
This acquisition underscores the growing recognition of the potential for Indian luxury brands to compete globally while preserving their cultural identity, positioning FSP as a leading ambassador of India’s couture on the world stage.
