Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), the parent company of Reliance Retail, has named seasoned technology and e-commerce leader Jeyandran Venugopal as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Venugopal, who previously served as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Flipkart, will collaborate closely with Isha Ambani, Executive Director of RRVL, to advance the company’s retail strategy, strengthen its expanding portfolio, and accelerate omnichannel transformation across India.

In his new role, Venugopal will oversee initiatives aimed at enhancing Reliance Retail’s technological capabilities, operational efficiency, and customer experience, reinforcing the company’s position as one of the country’s biggest retail players.

This leadership appointment comes shortly after RRVL onboarded Srivats TS, former Head of Marketing at Netflix India, as Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing, signalling a broader strategic push to deepen digital innovation and brand engagement.

With over 25 years of experience across global and Indian tech and e-commerce organisations—including leadership roles at Myntra, Snapdeal, Yahoo, and Amazon—Venugopal brings extensive expertise in scaling consumer internet businesses, product development, and technology-driven growth. His appointment underscores Reliance Retail’s focus on building world-class digital and omnichannel retail experiences.
