H&M Group has been awarded a prestigious double ‘A’ rating by CDP for its Climate and Water disclosures, placing the company among a select group leading the global effort in environmental transparency, accountability, and performance.
CDP, which operates the world’s most respected environmental disclosure platform, evaluates thousands of companies annually on their climate strategies, water stewardship, and environmental governance. Earning an ‘A’ rating in both categories reflects H&M Group’s robust environmental management practices, comprehensive reporting framework, and demonstrated progress toward long-term sustainability targets.
“These scores reflect the hard work from our teams, turning ambition into action and proving that the integration of sustainability into our core business creates results. This gives us motivation to continue our journey towards net zero in 2040 and a 30% absolute reduction of freshwater use in our tier 1 and 2 factories by 2030,” said David Dahl, Head of Climate and Nature, H&M Group.

The recognition underscores the company’s commitment to accelerating its environmental roadmap, strengthening climate resilience, and advancing responsible water use across its global supply chain. H&M Group reaffirmed that the accolades serve not only as validation of its strategy but also as renewed motivation to deepen its sustainability efforts in the years ahead.
