The Government of India has reopened the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles with certain modifications, extending the application window for eligible companies until March 31, 2026. The decision comes in response to the strong interest received from the industry after the application portal was reopened in August 2025, according to an official statement.
The extension aims to enable a larger number of eligible applicants to participate in key focus areas under the scheme, including Man-Made Fibre (MMF) Apparel, MMF Fabrics, and Technical Textiles. These segments are considered critical for strengthening India’s position in global textile manufacturing and exports.
The official application portal, https://pli.texmin.gov.in, will remain open until the stipulated deadline, allowing companies additional time to submit their proposals under the revised framework of the scheme.
