Effingut Breweries has opened its newest brewpub in Belapur, Navi Mumbai — a 2,300 sq. ft. venue at Mahavir Icon, CBD Belapur, accommodating 130 guests across indoor and outdoor seating. The outlet features 14 taps pouring Effingut’s core range and rotating seasonal brews, and brings the full Effingut food and beverage programme to Navi Mumbai for the first time.

The Belapur launch is the latest move in a decade-long expansion built on a single operating principle: go where the customer is, and do it right. Belapur’s large working population and fast-maturing dining culture made it a natural fit. The craft beer options available here have long lagged the appetite for them. That gap closes now.

“Belapur has been on our radar for a while — it’s a part of the city that works hard, plays hard, and genuinely deserves a space that does both well. We’ve always believed that great craft beer isn’t a privilege reserved for the island. With the new Navi Mumbai airport, this place has only gotten better. At Effingut Belapur, we’re not just opening another outlet — we’re giving Navi Mumbai its beer headquarters. And we intend to keep it Effingut.” — Manu Gulati, Founder & Managing Director, Effingut Breweries.

THE BEER
True Craft is not a tagline at Effingut — it is an operational standard. Every beer is brewed from scratch, in small batches, using imported German and Belgian malts, European and American hops, and style-specific yeasts. No preservatives. No artificial flavouring. No shortcuts. Fermentation timelines are respected. Water chemistry is calibrated to match the originating style. The process is the product.
The Belapur tap list opens with 14 beers spanning the full flavour spectrum — from Hefeweizen and Belgian Wit to Japanese Rice Lager, Mango Cider, hop-forward IPAs, and rotating seasonal and small-batch releases. The list is designed to move. Guests who visit twice will not see the same tap list twice.
Effingut’s brewing philosophy extends across lagers, ales, ciders, and meads — over 14 styles in rotation at any given time across outlets. It was also the first brewery in India to commercially produce and serve mead, pioneering an entirely new category in the Indian craft landscape. Multiple accolades at the Asia Beer Championship — including Gold for the Very Berry Cider (2022), Bronze for Hefeweizen and Sorachi Ace Saison (2020), and the Chairman’s Selection for the Hefty Braggot (2020) — reflect the consistency of that standard.
The food menu at Effingut is not an afterthought. It follows the same True Craft principle that governs the brewery: more than 95% of what is served across every outlet is made in-house — from the beer and the cocktail syrups to the sauces, condiments, and infusions. The kitchen and the brewery operate as one programme.
The menu draws from a wide range of global bar cuisines, designed specifically to complement the breadth of the beer list. Cult classics — Khou Suey, Mustard Chilli Prawns, Butter Chicken — sit alongside constantly evolving dishes shaped by international culinary trends, regional influences, and seasonal produce. The approach is flavour-forward throughout. At Belapur, guests can also expect Wild Wings, wood-fired pizzas, and community boards — formats built for long tables and shared rounds.
The craft cocktail programme follows the same discipline: every cocktail is built with fresh, often house-made ingredients and custom infusions. Flavour-first thinking, not garnish-first.
Effingut, founded in 2014 in Pune, has grown into a multi-city craft beer brand with 18 outlets and 3 breweries across Mumbai and Delhi NCR. Operating through brewpubs, bistros, and Effingut 2Go, it focuses on neighbourhood formats to make craft beer accessible. With canned beer distribution across 360+ outlets and a strong cold chain, Effingut positions itself as a “House of Craft,” supporting independent producers while expanding into new markets and regional brews.
