Satya Paul, one of India’s most iconic fashion houses and a pioneer of print-led design, unveiled a landmark showcase at SXSW London, bringing its celebrated legacy of print, drape and artistic expression to a global stage while also introducing Satya Paul Menswear internationally. Presented at Lancaster House in London, the showcase marked the first international presentation under the creative direction of Aseem Kapoor and signalled a new chapter for the brand as it expanded its creative universe across both womenswear and menswear.

Presented as part of SXSW London following an invitation from the UK Department for Business and Trade, the showcase reflected Satya Paul’s evolving design philosophy through an immersive experience that brought together fashion, art, movement and live performance. Fluid drapes, bold prints and artistic expression transformed the space into a living dialogue between legacy and modernity.

Untamed, the showcase embodied a free, instinctive expression of Satya Paul’s universe. Rooted in the brand’s enduring values of individuality, self-expression and artistic freedom, Untamed explored how print, drape, movement and sound can come together to create an immersive and contemporary cultural experience.
At the centre of the presentation was the saree, long regarded as Satya Paul’s enduring muse. Reimagined through layered, sculptural and fluid drapes, the collection drew inspiration from the natural world, forgotten histories and ancient sculptural forms found across the Indian subcontinent. Vibrant prints merged with the body in evolving silhouettes that celebrated movement, individuality and freedom.

The showcase further highlighted Satya Paul’s mastery of printmaking through collections that combined archival motifs with a contemporary visual language, reflecting a renewed creative direction under Aseem Kapoor. The presentation featured signature prints including reinterpreted archival zebra motifs, expressive bird illustrations and graphic dot-and-stripe patterns translated across draped silhouettes and statement separates. From expressive natural forms to vivid colour stories and experimental draping, the presentation celebrated the transformative power of print in ways that felt immersive, artistic and future-facing.
Satya Paul Menswear, introduced as part of the presentation, extends the house’s artistic identity through contemporary silhouettes for the modern man. Rooted in self-expression and individuality, the line reflects a younger and more versatile approach to occasion and lifestyle dressing through distinct print narratives such as Traveller and Collector, inspired by exploration, memory and personal expression across coordinated separates, statement outerwear and occasion-driven silhouettes.

Actor Danish Pandor walked the showcase, embodying the spirit of individuality and modern expression central to the collection. His presence reflected the confidence, creativity and contemporary perspective that define the evolving Satya Paul universe.
The showcase also featured a specially commissioned performance by acclaimed percussionist, composer and producer Sarathy Korwar and British Tamil movement artist Hashna Siva. Together, they presented a bespoke performance that fused Indian percussion, classical Bharatanatyam and contemporary movement, creating an immersive dialogue between rhythm, sound and expression.
Fashion, movement and live performance came together to create an immersive cultural experience that reflected Satya Paul’s spirit of artistic expression and creative freedom.
