Precision, concentration, the reactive act. The Spring/Summer 2027 menswear collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons is built around the notion of choice, of conscious decision. Rather than reduction, the focus is a distillation, to the fundamental, intentional, and meaningful.

Clothes as universal articles of life, resilient, are reconsidered with new thought. Rematerialization and reiteration can radically reclassify garment typologies, shifting our viewpoint, their value systems and therefore their quiescent meanings.

Proposed is an exact and highly-controlled silhouette, refined and linear, constant.

Within, a specific lexicon of garments – jeans, jean-jackets, t-shirts, striking in their pragmatic simplicity – are entirely reevaluated. Freed from extraneous detail and exaggeration, they are offered as a framework for ceaseless possibility and reinterpretation. Accessories are integrated within these overall structures, streamlined to become part of a whole, while paradigmatic clothing styles are reworked, reanalyzed. Pieces that resist time, these clothes defy easy classification of function or era.

An exercise in clarity, refusal can be a positive act, an antidote to complication and a means of definition. Newness is understood as rupture, conveyed through a recalibration of perception, an altered encounter with something already present.

Not concentration as reduction, but as an intensification of attention, a focus.
