Marking a significant new chapter in the House of Valaya's illustrious journey, celebrated couturier JJ Valaya unveiled SIDDI, his latest Autumn/Winter 2026 couture collection, at Hyundai India Couture Week 2026. Coinciding with the showcase, the designer also introduced a new high couture bridal space at his Delhi flagship store ‘The World of Valaya', housed within JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity. This new space and collection mark the beginning of the journey towards celebrating 35 years of timeless craftsmanship and design excellence next year.

About the Collection Siddi:
Siddi explores the idea of cultural exchange through the lens of couture, drawing inspiration from the remarkable journey of the Siddis of India and the confluence of African origins with the many cultural influences absorbed over generations on the Indian subcontinent. Rather than offering a literal interpretation of a community or its dress, SIDDI reflects on movement, memory and identity, translating these ideas into bridal couture, occasion wear and menswear through intricately crafted lehengas, contemporary saris, fluid anarkalis, regal sherwanis and impeccably tailored bandhgalas. Rendered in a palette of antique gold, ivory, noir, champagne, deep jewel tones and rich earth hues, the collection comes alive through sumptuous fabrics and the House’s signature zardozi, aari, dori work, metallic embroidery and crystal embellishment. Among the collection's most personal creations is a couture interpretation of the iconic Valaya Shifting Leaves Chevron. Originally created for his daughter Hoorvi's wedding before being presented on the couture runway, the masterpiece is rendered in a restrained palette of black, beige and metallics, showcasing extraordinary craftsmanship and intricate detailing while marking a first for the House.

"SIDDI began with the idea of a journey, one that crossed oceans, geographies and centuries, eventually creating an identity entirely its own. I was fascinated by the Siddis of India and by this extraordinary confluence of African origins with the many cultural influences absorbed over generations on the Indian subcontinent. But this is not a literal interpretation of a community or its dress. For me, it became a larger meditation on movement, memory and identity, and on how cultures evolve when they travel. Through the unmistakable vocabulary of the House of Valaya, SIDDI translates that thought into a contemporary couture narrative of embellishment, colour, texture, geometry and ceremony," says JJ Valaya.

About the Hgh Couture Bridal Space:
Continuing its longstanding association with JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, THE WORLD OF VALAYA enters its next chapter with an expanded high couture salon dedicated to the house's most exclusive bridal, ceremonial and bespoke creations. Conceived for private consultations and personalised appointments, the salon showcases limited-edition couture. signature bridal ensembles and bespoke creations, offering an elevated experience that reflects over three decades of the House’s craftsmanship and couture legacy.
