The Indian Garage Co. (TIGC) has expanded its physical retail footprint with the opening of its 21st store in India, marking the brand’s entry into Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The milestone was announced by the company through its official LinkedIn platform, where it highlighted the new store as another step in its strategy of taking the brand beyond India’s major metropolitan markets.
Located in Guntur, the new outlet becomes TIGC’s second store in Andhra Pradesh, further strengthening its presence in the state and expanding its reach among fashion-conscious consumers in emerging markets.

The Guntur launch comes as The Indian Garage Co. continues to accelerate its transition from a digitally led fashion business into a growing omnichannel retail brand. Founded in 2012 by Anant Tanted, TIGC has developed from a D2C fashion company into a broader House of Brands platform. Its portfolio includes TIGC in menswear, FreeHand in womenswear and Hardsoda in the men’s plus-size segment. The company operates under the TMRW House of Brands ecosystem.
The brand positions itself around fast-forward, contemporary fashion, with a strong focus on younger and fashion-conscious consumers. Its offering spans casualwear and trend-led apparel, while its retail strategy is designed to bring the brand's digital identity into physical stores and create a more immersive shopping experience.
The company entered organised offline retail in 2024 with its first Exclusive Brand Outlet on Bengaluru’s Brigade Road. At the time, TIGC outlined an ambitious plan to rapidly scale its exclusive store network, with a longer-term ambition of reaching 100 stores across India.
The latest Guntur opening reflects that continuing retail push. In July 2026, the company opened its 20th store at Phoenix Palassio Mall in Lucknow, making the Guntur launch the next milestone in its rapidly expanding physical network.
For TIGC, the Guntur store represents more than another addition to its store count. The company has identified Tier-2 cities as an important growth opportunity for the next phase of Indian fashion retail, driven by rising aspirations, increasing awareness of fashion brands and growing demand for organised retail experiences.
Guntur, therefore, becomes an important market in the brand's strategy to establish a stronger physical presence across India. The expansion also allows TIGC to take its fashion proposition closer to consumers who increasingly engage with contemporary fashion beyond the country's major metros.
The company's retail expansion follows a broader omnichannel strategy that combines its online presence with physical stores. Earlier retail launches have been positioned as a way to bridge the convenience of digital shopping with the experience of discovering products in a dedicated brand environment.
The Indian Garage Co. has also continued to expand its presence across cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai and Lucknow as part of its retail growth strategy.
With the Guntur store taking its exclusive retail network to 21 stores, TIGC is strengthening its ambition to build a wider pan-India fashion retail presence. The latest opening signals the company's continued confidence in India's emerging consumption markets and its strategy of taking contemporary fashion closer to consumers across the country.
