India’s rapidly expanding appetite for Korean beauty is opening new avenues for K-beauty companies, but converting consumer demand into sustainable business growth requires brands to navigate a complex ecosystem of regulations, imports, distribution, retail, localization and marketing. Addressing these challenges, AREUM NEXUS PRIVATE LIMITED, together with its Korean counterpart OLA Corporation, has established an integrated Korea–India business ecosystem aimed at supporting Korean companies throughout their expansion journey.
The platform goes beyond conventional market-entry services by bringing together regulatory coordination, import operations, business development, localization, distribution, marketing execution and ongoing operational management under a connected framework.
The model recently demonstrated its commercial potential at the Korea–India Business Forum and Korea–India Business Partnership events, where three export agreements involving Korean beauty brands were signed with Indian partners. Each agreement was valued at US$200,000, taking the combined value of the agreements to US$600,000. The development represents a significant commercial milestone while reinforcing the broader objective of creating a practical and sustainable pathway for Korean companies entering and scaling in India.
Traditional market-entry models often require international brands to work independently with consultants, importers, distributors and marketing agencies. AREUM NEXUS seeks to simplify this process by functioning as an integrated market-entry and business operations partner, enabling brands to concentrate on market development while local execution is managed through a coordinated structure.
The partnership leverages the complementary capabilities of AREUM NEXUS and OLA Corporation. In India, AREUM NEXUS oversees local market execution, including regulatory and CDSCO coordination, import operations, distribution development, retailer relationships, localization and day-to-day business management. Meanwhile, OLA Corporation, based in Korea, supports brands with export preparation, business development, brand strategy, marketing assistance and cross-border coordination. Together, the companies aim to create continuity between strategic planning in Korea and market execution in India.
The collaboration was further highlighted during the Korea–India Business Forum through the signing of a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) involving OLA Corporation, FOY E Retail, and Naturals Salon, one of India's largest salon networks with more than 900 locations across the country. The partnership is expected to create opportunities for Korean beauty brands to access a broader ecosystem spanning retail, salons, distribution and digital commerce.
Commenting on the development, Jason Rhee, CEO, AREUM NEXUS, said, “Many international brands entering India face operational challenges that extend well beyond product demand. Together with OLA Corporation, our focus is on building a more coordinated and practical platform that connects market entry with the execution required to build sustainable operations. The recent agreements demonstrate how a structured approach can help companies expand more effectively across borders.”
While K-beauty remains the company's immediate area of focus, AREUM NEXUS is also looking at the wider potential for strengthening commercial ties between Korea and India. The company plans to continue building business infrastructure, partnerships and operational support systems that can help Korean businesses establish a stronger presence in India while expanding access to Korean products, innovation and brands for Indian businesses and consumers.
MOLVANY & RETURNU Set for India Launch in Q3 2026
As part of its ongoing expansion strategy, Korean skincare brands MOLVANY and RETURNU are scheduled to enter the Indian market in the third quarter of 2026 through AREUM NEXUS.
Both brands have been building their presence in international markets and attracted positive interest from Indian distributors and industry stakeholders during Cosmoprof India 2025 in Mumbai. Their India entry is planned in collaboration with FOY E Retail, with AREUM NEXUS supporting distribution, market development and the brands' wider introduction to Indian consumers.
