Men’s fashion brand Banana Club is expanding beyond its core apparel offering with the launch of a new accessories category, beginning with a curated range of hats and caps designed to add a layer of personality to everyday dressing.
Known for its contemporary approach to men’s fashion, Banana Club is now looking to build a broader lifestyle proposition for the modern Indian man. The introduction of hats marks the brand’s next step in this direction, giving customers the option to complete their outfits with accessories that reflect Banana Club’s relaxed, expressive and fashion-forward aesthetic.
The move comes as the brand continues to broaden its product portfolio beyond its core categories of shirts, bottoms and tops. Banana Club has identified accessories as an important part of its next phase of growth, with categories including bags, travel bags, sunglasses and perfumes forming part of its wider expansion roadmap.
For Banana Club, the entry into accessories is aimed at moving beyond individual clothing pieces towards offering consumers a more complete look. “Hats have always had a strong connection with personal style. They can completely change the character of an outfit without making it feel overdone. With Banana Club, we wanted to bring that same sense of individuality into our accessories. This is the beginning of a much larger lifestyle journey for the brand,” said Prashant Lalwani, Co-founder, Banana Club.
The new hat collection has been designed to complement everyday wardrobes, from casual shirts and relaxed fits to travel looks and weekend dressing. The range brings together versatile silhouettes and contemporary designs intended to function as both practical and fashion-led additions to an outfit.
The launch represents a broader strategic shift for Banana Club as it moves from an apparel-led proposition towards a more comprehensive men’s lifestyle brand. The company currently operates 21 stores across eight cities and is pursuing an aggressive retail expansion strategy, with a target of reaching 100 stores and ₹500 crore in revenue by 2028. Alongside its metropolitan presence, the brand plans to expand further into emerging markets.
The addition of accessories also gives Banana Club an opportunity to widen the range available to its existing customers while creating entry points for consumers who may discover the brand through smaller fashion categories. The company’s broader category expansion is expected to continue as it works towards its vision of becoming a one-stop destination for contemporary men’s fashion and lifestyle.
Since opening its first organised retail store in Bengaluru in January 2023, Banana Club has expanded its physical presence to cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Indore, Delhi, Tirupati and Mysore. The brand currently derives revenue equally from its online and offline businesses, while its retail network remains an important component of its growth strategy.
With apparel continuing to remain at the heart of the business, the launch of hats and caps marks another step in Banana Club’s evolution as it seeks to build a wider lifestyle proposition for contemporary Indian men, with further categories such as bags, travel accessories, sunglasses and perfumes expected to add new dimensions to its product portfolio.
