The ELIE SAAB H&M collection will feature a special bridal gown and veil crafted by Elie Saab, designed to embody the glamour, elegance and distinctive aesthetic of the fashion house.
The bridal gown is cut in a mermaid silhouette and features luxurious layers of fabric, a long and dramatic train and a twisting off-the-shoulder neckline. Balancing sensuality with refinement and classic elements with contemporary design, the gown reflects Elie Saab’s signature approach to occasionwear.
The construction and surface detailing of the dress have been carefully considered. The gown is corseted and incorporates a delicate mesh panel at the back, embellished with embroidered glass beads and sequins that add elements of sparkle and sheerness to the design.
The bridal look can be completed with a specially designed floor-length veil crafted in mesh and featuring all-over hand-embroidered floral motifs, accented with tone-on-tone beads and sequins.
Like the wider ELIE SAAB H&M collection, the bridal gown and veil are positioned as collector’s pieces, reflecting Saab’s emphasis on precious detailing, craftsmanship and longevity, with designs intended to be worn, treasured and kept over time.
“We are honoured to have an ELIE SAAB bridal look within the ELIE SAAB H&M collection. We were all very moved to see Mr Saab working on it in the studio, and the final garment is stunning. I know it will complete some of our customers’ wedding days, having this landmark item to wear,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M.
For Elie Saab, bridalwear represents an important part of the fashion house’s heritage and creative identity.
“Bridal is where everything began, the moment where the language of ELIE SAAB found its voice. Our foundations are creating dresses for the most important day in a woman’s life, and that connection has remained deeply personal. To be able, through this collection, to offer a bridal piece at a different price point is something meaningful. It allows a wider audience of future brides to experience our world on their own terms,” said Elie Saab, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer.
The inclusion of a dedicated bridal look brings the designer’s established couture-inspired aesthetic to the ELIE SAAB H&M collaboration, combining intricate craftsmanship and signature detailing with a wider-access fashion proposition.
