Tanishq, the jewellery brand from Titan Company, has expanded its international retail presence with the opening of its first store in Kuwait at Salam Mall, marking another step in the brand’s overseas expansion journey.
The new store, located at Al Salam Mall, Salem Al Mubarak Street, Salmiya, Kuwait, has been positioned as a destination for customers to experience Tanishq’s jewellery collections along with the brand’s retail environment and customer service. The store is listed on Tanishq’s international store locator, with dedicated offerings spanning gold, diamond, men’s and women’s jewellery, as well as categories including earrings, rings, pendants, bangles and bracelets and necklaces.

The opening was announced by a company official on LinkedIn, describing the Kuwait store as an important milestone in Tanishq’s international journey. The brand invited customers in Kuwait to experience the store’s ambience, design and signature customer experience.
Tanishq is part of Titan Company and has developed a strong position in India as a national jewellery retailer. According to the brand, Tanishq began its journey in 1994 with 18K gold watches studded with precious stones before evolving into a 22K jewellery brand offering gold and diamond jewellery. The brand subsequently built its proposition around craftsmanship, quality, purity and contemporary interpretations of Indian jewellery traditions.
A key element of Tanishq’s retail proposition has been its focus on transparency and customer confidence. The brand introduced Karatmeters in its stores to enable customers to check gold purity, while also establishing Karigar Parks aimed at providing better working environments for its artisans. Titan describes Tanishq as India’s first national retail jeweller and says the brand has played a role in modernising the jewellery category in the country.
The Kuwait launch comes as Tanishq continues to build its international network, particularly across the GCC region and North America. Titan’s International Business Division says Tanishq entered the UAE in October 2020, marking its first destination outside India, before expanding into other international markets. The brand’s international proposition combines exclusive designs, craftsmanship and product quality with a customer experience adapted to local markets while retaining its connection with Indian heritage.
Kuwait has also emerged as one of the markets identified by Titan for further international growth. In July 2026, Arun Narayan, CEO, Jewellery Division, Titan Company, said Tanishq would focus on the GCC and US markets, with Kuwait and Oman among the countries being considered as part of the overseas expansion strategy. At the time, Tanishq had 30 international outlets across Singapore, West Asia and the US, while its India network stood at 540 outlets.
The new Salam Mall store also adds to Tanishq’s existing presence in Kuwait. The brand’s international store locator currently lists its Fahaheel outlet in Kuwait in addition to the new Salam Mall location, indicating a broader retail presence in the market.
Tanishq’s international expansion is aimed at serving both the Indian diaspora and international consumers, with the brand adapting its collections and retail experience to the preferences of customers in different geographies. Tata Group has previously highlighted the opportunity presented by the global Indian diaspora and Tanishq’s strategy of combining Indian jewellery heritage with contemporary international retail formats.
The opening of the Kuwait store therefore adds another market to Tanishq’s growing international footprint and reflects Titan’s broader strategy of taking its jewellery brands into new geographies. With the GCC continuing to be a focus area for expansion, Kuwait is expected to form part of Tanishq’s wider effort to strengthen its presence among Indian-origin consumers as well as local and international jewellery customers.
