The LYCRA Company, global leader in developing fiber and technology solutions for the apparel industry, will introduce two innovations at Kingpins Amsterdam Autumn 2026: LYCRA VintageFX EcoMade fabric for denim and COOLMAX CloakFX fiber for wovens. Together, these innovations address growing demand for materials that combine authentic style, comfort, durability, and performance.
The launch of LYCRA VintageFX EcoMade fabric expands The LYCRA Company’s comfort stretch portfolio with a solution that helps mills, brands, and retailers create authentic heritage-inspired denim and woven fabrics without sacrificing fit, recovery, or durability. Built on the proven LYCRA VintageFX fabric platform and delivering equivalent performance, the EcoMade version incorporates BPA-free polyester made from 100% recycled pre-consumer waste.
Designed for low-stretch denim and woven constructions, LYCRA VintageFX EcoMade fabric creates fabrics that offer:
• Authentic denim aesthetics with improved movement and recovery
• Controlled comfort stretch rather than simply more stretch
• Low growth and good shape retention, even after demanding wash and bleach processes
• Better stability in relaxed and loose silhouettes, especially through the waist, hip, and
seat
• Compact constructions with less bulk, supporting better drape and lighter-weight
denim
• Improved garment integrity, including reduced seam slippage and enhanced durability
• Invisible stretch performance that preserves the authentic character of the denim
In addition, The LYCRA Company will debut COOLMAX CloakFX fiber for wovens, extending its innovative sweat-masking technology into a broader range of woven lifestyle and ready-towear applications. Designed to help conceal the appearance of perspiration, this product helps consumers feel more confident and comfortable throughout the day while maintaining the style and versatility they expect from modern woven garments. Visitors can preview the company’s Heritage Workwear collection of performance wovens at Kingpins.
“LYCRA VintageFX EcoMade fabric shows how denim innovation can move forward without losing the authentic character consumers value, while also offering the opportunity to combine it with Renewable LYCRA fiber. Through close collaboration with value chain partners, this opens the door to brand new denim and woven fabric concepts, creating more responsible material choices and stronger consumer stories,” said Ebru Ozaydin, global product category director, denim, wovens and ready-to-wear. “Beyond denim, we are also building a new lifestyle-driven innovation platform for performance wovens, starting with the sweat-masking performance of COOLMAX CloakFX fiber, which is designed for how people live, move and dress today.”
The LYCRA Company will also highlight its participation in NATURALLS, a collaborative capsule denim collection developed with Avalo, Neela, and SOKO that demonstrates how innovation can be applied across the entire value chain. Designed by Gordon Muir of Labor Made Inc. as a tribute to the farmers whose work makes the denim industry possible, the collection combines Avalo's Low-Input regenerative Cotton, Neela's expertise in spinning, weaving, and garment manufacturing, SOKO's low-impact finishing technologies, and Renewable LYCRA fiber from The LYCRA Company, made with 70% renewable content. The resulting garments showcase how collaboration can help address sustainability challenges from fiber cultivation through finishing while delivering the stretch, fit, comfort, and authentic aesthetics consumers
expect from premium denim.
At Kingpins Amsterdam, attendees are invited to visit The LYCRA Company in stand n° White 3 to learn more about these new technologies and discuss future collaboration opportunities.
