The first edition of the Kering Generation Award India, in partnership with Reliance Brands Limited, has been launched to recognise and support entrepreneurs developing circular solutions for the fashion and luxury industries.
The announcement, shared on the company’s official LinkedIn page, marks a new initiative to advance circular innovation in India. The award ceremony was held at the Embassy of France in New Delhi, spotlighting the Franco-Indian Year of Innovation and highlighting the role of entrepreneurship in developing solutions for a more sustainable fashion and luxury ecosystem.
Centred on the theme of “Circularity for Fashion and Luxury”, the India edition aims to identify innovations that contribute directly to resource protection and help reduce the environmental and social footprint of the fashion industry. The initiative focuses on solutions spanning the product lifecycle, from raw material sourcing to the end of a product’s life.
For its inaugural edition, the Kering Generation Award India has partnered with the R|Elan Circular Design Challenge, in partnership with the United Nations in India, which will serve as the award’s exclusive nominating partner.
The collaboration brings together stakeholders across the fashion, luxury and sustainability ecosystems to identify promising circular solutions and support ideas that can contribute to a more responsible industry.
