The ongoing FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week witnessed a momentous occasion as acclaimed designer Rajesh Pratap Singh marked his debut in the couture segment. Singh stands out as the sole designer to showcase a collection that truly embodies couture, offering bespoke and contemporary fashion.
Pratap's couture collection takes a unique approach to the grand Indian wedding, presenting an avant-garde and chic perspective that veers away from the conventional frills and sequins. Instead, the focus lies on structure, textiles, and style. The designer beautifully combines the essence of the desert and the Indian rose, weaving them into numerous avatars on lavish fabrics such as silk and brocade. The collection features a rich array of woven, embroidered, and printed garments, catering to both men and women.
A forward-looking vision characterizes Pratap's collection, marked by its non-conformist and unconventional nature. The designs play with optics, incorporating the use of woven gold, silver, pastels, and jewel tones. Each ensemble is elegantly accessorized with custom-made jewelry and hand-crafted footwear adorned with metallic elements, completing the exquisite look.
Earlier during the day, Bollywood glamour graced the runway as Vani Gupta took to the stage for the debut brand Roseroom by Isha Jajodia at The Taj Palace, New Delhi. Jajodia's collection draws inspiration from the captivating fusion of French Riviera fashion and the allure of Hollywood's Golden Era.
The FDCI Hyundai India Couture Week continues to be a showcase of creativity, innovation, and celebration of fashion, with designers presenting their finest couture offerings to captivate fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders alike.
