Myntra, a leading Indian e-commerce platform, has announced a significant move to enhance its international fashion offerings by securing franchise rights for NEXT, the UK's largest fashion retailer. This strategic partnership reflects Myntra's commitment to providing Indian consumers with access to global fashion brands and expanding its presence in the ever-evolving fashion market.
The collaboration with NEXT allows Myntra to tap into the vast and diverse Indian market, where conglomerates such as Reliance and Tata are also making significant strides in the clothing sector.
Myntra Jabong Pvt Ltd will distribute NEXT products on a wholesale basis, facilitating the brand's entry into the Indian market through independent third-party franchise partners and distributors.
NEXT, known for its top-notch fashion offerings, has entrusted Myntra Jabong with the rights to distribute and manage its products in India. Additionally, Myntra will leverage its expertise in omnichannel retailing to bolster NEXT's presence in the country.
As part of the franchise agreement, Myntra's wholesale business will establish NEXT branded stores across India. These stores will offer a wide range of apparel for children, women, and men, catering to the diverse fashion preferences of Indian consumers. Furthermore, NEXT products will also be available on the Myntra platform, providing customers with seamless access to the brand's offerings.
In the initial phase of operations, 8-10 NEXT stores will be launched in key Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. These stores will be complemented by a robust online presence on the Myntra platform, ensuring widespread accessibility to NEXT products across the country.
