Denim came to centre stage for designer Pawan Sachdeva at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. The collection titled “Trailblazer”, was exactly as the name suggested, when Pawan treated the denim fabric and celebrated inclusivity that would suit all shapes, sizes and ages.
Pawan ensured that his creations would appeal to not only the Gen Z but also millennials who had trend setting requirements. The denim story from Pawan was about versatility. The fabric was exclusively handcrafted in various washes, colours and even brushstrokes to appeal to buyers who were looking for multi occasion options.
The denim offering, which was aimed at men, women and unisex buyers, was in oversized and anti-fit silhouettes that were at times contrasted with fitted jackets and trousers. Pawan has always believed in a versatile collection when he has designed it. He has always ensured that the outfits should look great for daily round-the-clock-dressing, or move to a resort holiday wardrobe and even make a show stopping Red Carpet entrance. With mix and match
requirements depending on the moods and events, the look was a merger of luxury and street-smart influence.
“I’m excited to have presented the TrailBlazer denim collection, designed for ultimate comfort and versatility. Handcrafted with skin-friendly denim, it suits all body types and offers endless styling options. This collection merges luxury with street style, perfect for any occasion. I’m also thrilled to have Taaha Shah as our showstopper, bringing the collection to life with his effortless charm.” said the designer Pawan Sachdeva The very dashing and handsome Taaha Shah strutted his style in a three-piece suit, comprising a natty waistcoat, comfy trousers, jacket with wide lapels and two patch pockets - all treated in a great wash of rust and black.
Pawan Sachdeva’s “Trailblazer” collection was a relaxed, comfortable offering that was not only affordable but timeless fashion for the coming season.
ROHIT KAMRA UNVEILED A MEN’S WEAR COLLECTION THAT WAS A CREATIVE BLEND OF PRECISION AND STYLE AT LAKMĒ FASHION WEEK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FDCI.
Each season Rohit Kamra, Jaipur’s renowned men’s wear designer has created collections that have inspired and set Indian fashion trends. The 15-year-old brand has presented an exciting image with the regalia and the modern Maharaja creations that have been synonymous with the Rohit Kamra Brand.
For Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, Rohit Kamra unveiled his “Symmetric Rhapsody” collection that was a great amalgamation of structured silhouettes. Inspired by the geometric patterns of Acoma Pueblo pottery, Rohit merged these into modern Indian men’s wear designs. The fine parallel lines along with zig zags and step motifs were combined with arresting embroidery that emphasised balance and symmetry.
The colours revolved around just three – black, white and beige – all earthy tones that highlighted the textured fabrics. The silhouettes were classic Indian and western concepts as bundgalas, trench coats and Victorian shapes were reimagined. The look was structured with pea coats and trenches, as well as double breasted jackets being the focal point of the look.
The trousers were a mix of wide leg pants as well as rider’s trousers. There were subtle influences from South American styles that gave the collection a contemporary artisanal appeal.
The primary fabrics were interwoven Italian checks with jogirali thread work technique, which was intertwined with checks. In addition, there was periodic use of linen and hosiery weaves.
I am extremely happy to have showcased my collection “Symmetric Rhapsody at Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI. It’s been a long association. I have also enjoyed having Madhur Bhandarkar and Aahana Kamra in my ensemble as my muses for the show,” said the designer.
Talented actress Aahana Kumra was a glam show stopper in a black two-piece ensemble, consisting of a slim, side slit skirt and pleated edged jacket with interesting sleeves detailing.
Keeping her company on the ramp was ace director Madhur Bhankarkar, who made a great entry in a classic suit and shirt combo.
The “Symmetric Rhapsody” collection by Rohit Kamra was a regal fashion men’s wear offering that was just ideal for the festive celebrations.
