Raymond Ltd has announced a strategic leadership reshuffle as part of its aggressive growth strategy. Vipul Mathur, who was appointed Chief Business Officer (CBO) for New Businesses in October 2024, will now take charge of the Ethnix SBU along with Raymond Home. The leadership teams of these divisions will report directly to him.
Mathur brings over two decades of experience in e-commerce, retail, and branding, with expertise spanning marketing, consumer psychology, and merchandising. Before joining Raymond, he served as the CEO of Mufti, where he played a crucial role in the brand’s expansion and market positioning. His career also includes leadership roles at Madura Garments, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., and ABOF.com. His transition is seen as a pivotal step in leveraging his experience to strengthen Raymond’s new business verticals.
Alongside Mathur’s appointment, Raymond Ltd has restructured its retail-led businesses to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. The company has consolidated Apparel, Made-to-Measure (MTM), and The Raymond Shop (TRS) under a unified leadership structure. Additionally, its distribution-driven businesses—including Innerwear & Sleepwear and incubation ventures—have been grouped together for better operational synergy.
As part of this reorganization, Debdeep Sinha will transition to the role of CBO – Innerwear & Sleepwear, utilizing his expertise in developing and scaling new businesses. In another key appointment, Raymond has welcomed Neeraj Nagpal as CBO – Apparel, MTM, and TRS. With over 27 years of experience in fashion and retail, Nagpal’s expertise is expected to drive growth and innovation in the brand’s core apparel segment.
These strategic changes reflect Raymond’s commitment to reinforcing its leadership in the textile and fashion industry. By optimizing its structure, the company aims to enhance its focus on key growth areas, improve market responsiveness, and unlock new opportunities in the evolving retail landscape.
