India’s VKC, one of the country’s fastest-growing fashion footwear companies, continues its exclusive brand outlet (EBO) expansion with the inauguration of its 16th My VKC store in Tamil Nadu. The newly launched store in Tirunelveli was inaugurated by franchisee owner S. Chitra Vijayan (Cooldot) and family, in the esteemed presence of M Babu and Musthafa VP, Directors of India’s VKC.

This launch is a part of India’s VKC’s broader mission to bring contemporary global fashion to India’s tier 2 and 3 cities, as well as rural regions, through My VKC and Only VKC branded stores. The Tirunelveli store will offer high-fashion footwear at affordable prices for men, women, boys, girls, and children — making style accessible to a wider consumer base.

The store will house all of VKC’s signature power brands including VKC Pride, VKC Debon, GoodSpot, Eezy, Ja.May.Ka, and Debongo. Each brand underlines VKC’s commitment to quality, affordability, and design innovation, catering to diverse fashion needs across age groups.

Among the standout highlights at the store will be footwear from Debongo, featuring the newly introduced sub-brand Go Planet-D — which has already made national headlines for being the world’s first 100% sustainable and circular footwear brand. This milestone is a significant achievement for Indian businesses, marking the rise of a new India that aspires to lead the global stage with environmentally conscious innovation.

Go Planet-D adopts a fully sustainable and circular business model, ensuring reduced environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly practices within the footwear industry. Uniquely, it will also be the first Indian footwear line with resale value, allowing customers to resell their used footwear — a first in India’s retail market.

Pre-bookings for Go Planet-D will begin in May 2025 and will be facilitated at all My VKC stores across India, including the new outlet in Tirunelveli. Customers will be able to place orders by simply providing their address and foot size at any participating store.
