These elements covered the '5 B' requirements of the Miss Grand winners. This was a back to back Best National Costume win, even as the national directorship of India changed hands; and Melvyn credited his incredible team including Roni, Pratesh, Vivek and Raj; for the win.
"Melvyn is the most knowledgeable & passionate pageant industry professional. He listens & observes everything; and understood me even more than I understood myself. Trusting him made the process effortless and exciting as he made me look magical. Knowing him has been the best part of my pageant journey," said Tancy.
The costume also featured a boarding pass (Manila-Bangkok-Jaipur) which was given to the judges as a part of the performance. "The costume was clearly the best of the night, and it made us pick up our phones. It was not just a reel-worthy moment, but truly, a prayer in motion & a salute to the soul of India," commented judge & Miss Grand International 2024 CJ Opiaza from Philippines.
"Tancy is one of the most interesting queens I have met, she is a no-nonsense beauty who is a great balance of elegance and bold straight-forward speech. Her intelligence, poetry and hard work; while she works in Dubai, as the bread winner of her family; inspired this costume. While our hearts and minds were still processing the crash, especially because flying is an important part of our lifestyle," expressed Melvyn, as he paid tribute to the moment.
