Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), is set to make its much anticipated return to New Delhi from 9–12 October 2025 at The Grand, Vasant Kunj. The upcoming edition presented by the House of Lakmē, the Fashion Design Council of India, and Reliance Brands will unveil a dynamic line-up of celebrated designers, bold new talent, and visionary collaborations. This season promises groundbreaking showcases and immersive experiences that spotlight the evolving intersection of fashion, beauty, and culture.
Earlier this year, the Mumbai edition kicked off the platform’s silver-jubilee celebrations with a gala honoring its legacy. The spotlight now shifts to the capital, where the next showcase is set to unfold in New Delhi. With its bi-annual format in Mumbai and New Delhi, the platform has been instrumental in shaping India’s fashion narrative both across the country and globally.
Launched in 1999 as India’s most definitive fashion week, the platform has grown into a powerhouse partnership between Lakmē, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), and Reliance Brands. The upcoming edition promises a dynamic and immersive celebration of Indian design, spotlighting sustainability, diversity, and the future of fashion.
Bringing together an exciting lineup of established names and emerging talent, the platform will showcase bold collections and visionary storytelling that highlight creativity and craftsmanship at their finest. From runway showcases to curated experiences, the platform continues to shape India’s style narrative while championing the next generation of fashion leaders.
The House of Lakmē, a pioneer in India’s beauty landscape since 1952, continues to fuse beauty with high fashion, introducing trends at scale and empowering self-expression on and off the runway. Lakmē’s investments in the platform has made it the country’s most influential incubator of fashion and beauty innovation where cutting-edge design meets next-gen beauty, season after season.
The House of Lakmē Grand Finale will close the season with a spectacular showcase by Tarun Tahiliani, whose signature blend of luxury and modernity defines Indian couture. In partnership with this finale, Lakmē unveils its new Lakmē Be-Jewel Collection, a dazzling lineup that reimagines modern maximalism for today’s Indian woman. Inspired by the brilliance of gemstones, the range delivers diffused shimmer, pearl-lit radiance, ruby-sheen eyes, diamond-shine lips, and luminous tints designed for effortless, day-to-night glamour. Lightweight, multidimensional, and powered by light-reflecting technology, Lakmē Be-Jewel celebrates color, drama, and skin-friendly brilliance in a single swipe.
With over 400 members, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) continues to expand and enrich the nation’s fashion industry by supporting, nurturing, and highlighting India’s most exceptional creative talent. In a country rich in indigenous crafts and handloom traditions, FDCI remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting the “Made in India” label.Through initiatives like the FDCI Showroom at the event, buyers and attendees gain direct access to designers’ latest collections and the opportunity to engage with them on the ground, strengthening the business of fashion which has always been FDCI’s core agenda. This season, FDCI will present curated showcases, including FDCI x Moscow Fashion Week Presents Hatsibana, bringing international perspectives to the Indian runway. Additionally, FDCI will present FDCI x Pearl Academy First Cut, spotlighting cutting-edge collections from standout Pearl Academy students. These showcases continue FDCI’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and nurturing the next generation of Indian designers.
Designer discovery program NIF Global Presents GenNext winners Mohammed Anas Sheikh, Pranita Choudhury, and Anam Husain will showcase their breakthrough collections, highlighting the next generation of visionary designers and fresh creative voices. Meanwhile, The Runway, another signature platform by NIF Global, will feature curated presentations from emerging talent, giving students a dedicated stage to experiment, innovate, and engage directly with industry leaders, media, and fashion enthusiasts.
RBL further strengthens this season with the R|Elan™ Circular Design Challenge, featuring six global finalists whose collections spotlight sustainable, circular, and responsible fashion innovations. What started as a pioneering sustainability effort has grown into a globally recognized platform, celebrating designers who are reimagining the future of fashion with eco-conscious ingenuity at its core. In addition, R|Elan™ collaborates with Ashish Soni for an exclusive runway presentation, blending high-performance, eco-conscious fabrics with cutting-edge design. Together, these initiatives reinforce RBL’s commitment to nurturing talent and championing forward-thinking creativity on the runway.
Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI remains one of India’s most anticipated style spectacles, drawing audiences from across the country and beyond.
