Niine, the Indian hygiene brand that began with sanitary napkins in 2018, has set out a five-year growth plan targeting ₹1,000 crore plus in revenue by FY30. The plan rests on expanded manufacturing capacity, deeper distribution, brand building and a consumer-led portfolio that extends beyond menstrual hygiene.
At its core, Niine's ambition is to evolve into a brand that meets India's advancing hygiene needs. Having already expanded from menstrual hygiene into baby care as well, Niine aims to serve households across all life stages. With every extension, the company is heading with the category by following what consumers need next. Niine's journey provides the foundation for the brand to address evolving hygiene needs across adjacent categories. They change shape at every stage of life, and until recently, very few Indian brands have been built to follow them.
The Five-Year Plan
Eight Years of Growth, Built Consumer-First OR Eight Years of Building a Brand and a Category
Niine posted ₹32.46 crore in revenue in FY19, its first full year of sales after launching in May 2018 and grew 10X reached up to ₹325 crore by FY26. The company turned EBITDA-positive in FY26, laying the foundation for its next phase of growth, with a target EBITDA margin of 15% by FY30. The company invested ₹100+ crore in its Gorakhpur manufacturing facility under Uttar Pradesh's super mega industrial category and created over 1,000 direct jobs. These investments strengthened Niine's position as a home-grown, Made in India brand committed to delivering high-quality products to consumers across more than 18 states.
Product innovation has reflected this consumer-first approach. Niine was among the first brands to introduce resealable packs to keep pads hygienic on the go and biodegradable disposal bags for discreet disposal. Niine has also expanded access through sanitary napkin vending machine initiatives across educational institutions and public facilities, reinforcing the belief that availability and awareness must go hand in hand.
Campaigns such as #LetsTalkPeriods and Niine's partnership with Rajasthan Royals took conversations about menstruation into homes, classrooms and cricket stadiums, while inviting men to join as active allies. The Niine Movement and Run4Niine built a community around the cause.
In May 2026, the brand marked Menstrual Hygiene Day with a digital-first film series built on one premise: no two periods are alike. The series highlighted the brand’s full product range, designed to cater to diverse consumer needs. The five-year roadmap carries this consumer-first understanding forward, using these needs and different life stages to guide the brand's next phase of growth.
"We learnt that the categories people find hardest to discuss are often the ones most in need of a better product. That’s why we started a conversation nobody wanted to have with our ‘Let’s Talk Periods’ campaign. Niine will continue to step into hygiene spaces that are not explored enough. Our ₹1,000 crore ambition reflects the scale of the opportunity ahead, and we intend to achieve it by reaching many more Indian homes with a portfolio that caters to every stage of life." — Amar Tulsiyan, Founder, Niine
Following the Demographics
Niine’s portfolio caters to hygiene needs across life stages, with sanitary pads and period panties for teenagers, women, mothers and baby diapers for infants and young children. Building on this foundation, the company plans to expand into adult hygiene, in response to India’s growing ageing population. According to the UNFPA India Ageing Report 2023, India was home to about 149 million people aged 60 and above in 2022, or 10.5 per cent of the population. By 2050, that number is projected to more than double to around 347 million, over a fifth of the country.
Niine intends to address all the above life stages by entering adjacent categories where clear gaps exist, combining high manufacturing standards with accessible price points. Specific launches will be announced as they come to market.
