Simultaneously, Cosmopack India showcases the most innovative and avant-garde solutions for the supply chain, from ingredients and raw materials to branded finished products, machinery, equipment, and packaging.
Stellar Growth Reflects Industry Expansion
The 2023 edition of Cosmoprof India exhibits robust growth, aligning seamlessly with the economic expansion of the region. "The exhibition reflects all the elements which make Cosmoprof a global partner for business, at the same time adapting to the specific needs of the Indian market. Thanks to the constant contribution of the most prestigious trendsetters and worldwide leading companies and brands, Cosmoprof India is already highly recognized from beauty professionals all over the world,” states Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere. The event witnesses a notable 44% increase in exhibiting companies, with over 450 brands and exhibitors hailing from 19 countries and regions. The surge in new exhibitors marks a substantial 28% increase from the previous year, underlining the growing acknowledgment of the exhibition within the industry. International brands exhibit a positive growth of 49%, with prominent representation from Korea, Italy, the UK, and Taiwan. Perfumery & Cosmetics, OEM, ODM, Private Label, and Primary Packaging are the key attractions for exhibitors.

The exhibition area experiences a remarkable growth of 34%, reaching 12,000 sqm, underscoring the escalating influence and relevance of Cosmoprof India 2023 in the industry. This increase highlights the event's growing influence and relevance in the industry. Cosmoprof India 2023 is attracting global attention, as represented by the presence of 5 country pavilions: Australia, Korea, Italy, Taiwan, and the UK. “Cosmoprof India represents one of the destinations of the Cosmoprof network, together with Bologna, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, Bangkok and, starting from 2024, Miami and Riyadh," says Gianpiero Calzolari.

More than 150 products have been submitted for the upcoming edition of the initiative, following 5 main categories involving both suppliers exhibiting in Cosmopack India and finished product brands of Cosmoprof India. Among all subscriptions, 4 finalists per category have been selected. The Cosmoprof India Awards recognize exceptional finished products in the following categories: Hair & Nail Products and Skin Care; Personal Care, Body Care Products and Fragrance. Submitted products are tapping into some of beauty’s most exciting trends, such as the skinification of nail care, climate-specific skin care, and the elevation of intimate care. The Cosmopack India Awards highlight the most groundbreaking solutions in the distinct categories: Innovative Technology; Make-up, Skin Care, and Hair Formula; Packaging: Design and Materials. Among products which have been evaluated for the 2023 awards, outstanding innovative packaging materials offering environmentally friendly solutions have been appreciated, from lower-weight packaging with fewer components to biodegradable materials. Regarding formulation, the most novel proposals are characterized by microneedle technology encapsulated in a squeeze-on or gel form.
