Are you tired of finding the perfect fit in every garment you buy? Well, good news! India will soon have its own standard body sizes for the apparel sector. Finally, the Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal announced that only the final touches are now pending following the conclusion of a nationwide survey.
After years of struggling with inconsistent sizing and fits, it seems like Indians can finally bid goodbye to the frustration of not finding the perfect size for every piece of clothing they purchase. With this news, the Indian apparel industry will be able to cater to the needs of every body type and cater to a wider base of customers.
India will soon have its own standard body sizes for the apparel sector with only the final touches pending following the conclusion of a nationwide survey, as said by Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal.
"The faculty members of the National Institute of Fashion Technology, who conducted the survey (after) travelling to every state, have done very good work. A presentation (of the survey) was made before me a few days ago," Goyal said during a press conference at the BJP headquarters.
About a standard Indian size for footwear, the minister said it will take "a little more time". "But it will also come soon."
When fully implemented, this scheme will prove to be a game-changer in the Indian fashion industry, improving the customer experience and giving retailers a wider base of loyal customers.
